The Ministry of Interior denied the authenticity of a statement attributed to it on social media pages warning of people claiming to be from the water company to enter citizens' homes, steal and kidnap children.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed, in a statement that SANA received a copy of, that it had never issued such a statement, which is false and untrue, and the police units in all governorates did not receive any complaint about the occurrence of such incidents mentioned in the forged statement.
The ministry stated that the patrols of its police units are deployed in all its sectors of work and are ready to receive citizens’ reports and address them immediately. It is solemn on the pages of social networking sites to be careful and not to spread and promote false news before verifying its credibility, especially those that affect the security and tranquility of citizens.
