The government said today (30th) that in response to the severe COVID-19 epidemic, the Environmental Protection Department, the Drainage Services Department and the interdisciplinary team of the University of Hong Kong have recently stepped up the collection of sewage samples in various districts for virus testing, and found that the test was conducted at Zhenghui Building, Tsz Ching Estate. A positive result shows that there may be hidden patients in this place.

Therefore, the Government cites the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing of Certain Persons) Regulation (the Regulation) (Cap. 599J) to gazette the mandatory testing notice under the Regulation, requesting that the People at Zheng Fai Building, Tsz Ching Estate, undergo nucleic acid testing for COVID-19.

The government strongly reminds citizens that they must strictly abide by the mandatory testing requirements and complete the mandatory testing on time.

Even those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 must undergo the above mandatory testing.

They should also pay close attention to their physical condition and seek immediate medical attention and get tested even if they have only mild symptoms.
