In the lottery drawing on Friday night, one ticket won the $421 million Mega Millions jackpot in California.
The winning numbers were 3, 16, 25, 44, 55 and 13.
According to spokesmen for the state lottery, the millionaire ticket was sold at a Chevron gas station in Woodland Hills, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
It is the 13th largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.

“It's a MEGA Good Friday for California!” lottery spokespeople said on Twitter after the drawing.
The winner, whose identity has not yet been revealed, will have a cash option of $289.5 million.
Additionally, four tickets matched all five white balls to win a million dollars.
Those were sold in Mississippi, New York, Ohio and Texas.

Ohio's ticket also won the Megaplier for an additional $3 million.
Mega Millions accumulated its jackpot for three months.
In October, an Arizona family earned $108 million.
Mega Millions will once again have a $20 million prize in the next drawing which is scheduled for February 1.
