Iran has executed two gay men convicted of sodomy six years ago, the Human Rights Activist News Agency reported.
Iran, considered one of the most repressive places in the world for members of the LGBT community, bans
same-sex relationships.
In the northwest of the country, about 500 km from the capital Tehran.
According to the organization, last July two more men were executed in the city for the same offenses.

The human rights organization said that last year Iran executed 299 people, including four convicted of crimes committed as children.
85 other people were sentenced to death.
Under Iranian law, sodomy, rape, adultery, armed robbery and murder are among the crimes that can lead to the death penalty.
Last October, UN human rights researcher Iran Javid Rahman told the UN General Assembly's Human Rights Committee that Iran continues to implement the death penalty "at an alarming rate".
