Official complaint filed against Abraham Grant: Suspected of sex offense

Following the investigation into the football coach on the "Exposure" program, which published testimonies of women who felt harassed and hurt by his conduct, the police are investigating a first official complaint against him.

One of the young women said during the interrogation that he tried to kiss her by force and that he was standing naked in front of her when she woke up in the morning.

Following an investigation of a TV show that aired this week, today (Wednesday) a complaint was filed with the police on suspicion of a sex offense against Avraham Grant.

The "Exposure" program with Haim Etgar published an investigation earlier this week concerning Avraham Grant.

The investigation revealed evidence that the football coach took advantage of his position and allegedly harassed women.

The investigation revealed women who testified that they felt harassed and hurt by the conduct of the former Israel national team coach.

The investigation included the testimony of a young woman who sought Grant's help in finding a job, who claimed that as part of the assistance the coach invited her to an apartment in Tel Aviv in the evening and during the meeting he forcibly grabbed her and tried to kiss her, though she said she was not interested.

He later took her hand and placed it on his body in an intimate place and she moved her hand reluctantly.

Although she explicitly refused to have sexual contact when waking up in the morning she found him standing in front of her face in full nudity.

In another testimony, a woman who was promised that Grant would help her professionally and connect with a successful modeling agent claims that the coach came to her room at a hotel abroad and put massive pressure on her to sleep with him, even though she was not interested, refused many times and even asked to leave. Grant undressed, pulled her arm and persuaded her to have a relationship with him through professional promises and hints that she might not win the campaign if she did not respond. She said she said "no" many times but Grant did not give up on her until she had to comply with his wishes.

Testimony of other women included descriptions of sexual remarks, harassing messages and repeated phone calls at night. According to the testimony these acts were sometimes done under threats that if the women did not respond to his requests, Grant would be harmed in their careers.

Grant's response: "Throughout the years of my personal and professional life I have seen before my eyes above all achievements and successes it is of paramount importance to remain a human being to act honestly and respect every woman and man wherever they are. I am a man of men, a man of friendships. "I tried very hard to treat them with respect and friendship and I never intended to act unfairly or hurt any woman in any way. Anyone who feels uncomfortable or has been hurt by me, I regret it and apologize from the bottom of my heart."
