The situation is very worrying, but not hopeless.
We see human attention as the new scarce resource at the heart of economic growth.
And as with coal, oil or water, extraction is not without some undesirable effects for humanity.
As everyone around us can see, we now spend most of our waking time in front of a screen, an average of ten hours a day for adults in 2019, and between three and four hours a day for children from less than 12 years.
