Yesterday, the director of the "Tully's Nursery" kindergarten in Ramla, Little Bercy, 42, was accused along with three kindergarten assistants of assaulting 11 toddlers. According to the indictment, they abused infants aged three months to three years. On many occasions, they were beaten and objects thrown at them. The indictment was filed by Adv. Yael Terem.
The indictment states that the kindergarten principal received reports from the toddlers' parents of bruises and signs of violence, but did not report to anyone and continued to use violence against the infants. In another case, she instructed one of the assistants to tie a toddler to a chair.
Assistant Betty Zeitun, 51, used to hit and kick kindergarten toddlers.
In some cases, toddlers hit with flip-flops and packs of wipes, and once even lay on one of the toddlers.
Inbar Donio, a 31-year-old assistant, gripped the babies tightly and dragged them around the kindergarten.
In one case, she tied one of the toddlers to a chair using a cloth diaper, and hit two babies on the head.
Claudine Meyer, 28, also used to slap babies hard, and in one case left a baby imprisoned alone in the room.
The prosecution said the respondents "are far from taking responsibility and have taken advantage of the trust of the parents who have placed it in their hands".
