The following year, in 1981, he tried again.

The pop singer Andy Borg – Career
Kurt Feltz is one of the most successful lyricists of the post-war period.
He wrote the great hits of music legends such as Caterina Valente and Peter Alexander.
After Kurt Feltz spontaneously signed the young Austrian, he wrote him the song "Adios Amor" in collaboration with Tex Shultzieg.
With this title Andy Borg landed in 1982 right away at the top of the charts.
It was an important event for him, his entire team and the whole of Germany.
Because at that time the Schlager was almost completely supplanted by the Neue Deutsche Welle.
In the hit parades as well as on the radio and on television, there was hardly anything to be heard or seen from the hit.
Andy Borg became one of the few who still managed to make a hit career.
And that too very successfully
because “Adios Amor” sold well over 14 million copies.
And it wasn't to be his only hit.
Titles like "The Fishermen of San Juan", "I Don't Want to Know Your Name" and "Arrivederci Claire" followed.
