Corona special payment for Thuringian officials decided

Like civil servants, Thuringia's civil servants will receive a one-off, tax-free Corona special payment of 1,300 euros.

The Thuringian state parliament passed a corresponding legal claim on Friday evening with the votes of the Left, SPD, Greens, CDU and AfD.

The FDP abstained.

Erfurt – The officials are expected to receive the payment with their salaries in March and April 2022.

Applicants then receive a one-off payment of 650 euros tax-free.

According to earlier information, the costs for the state budget should be around 35.4 million euros.

The collective bargaining agreement for the public sector in the federal states provides for a 2.8 percent increase in salary from December 2022 in addition to the Corona special payment.
