The businessman Arnaud Mimran and three other people will be tried in November before the criminal court of Créteil for a case of corruption within the prison of Fresnes (Val-de-Marne), learned this Friday February 4 the AFP from sources familiar with the matter.

Three inmates of the penitentiary centre, including one of the figures of the “

carbon tax

” scam Arnaud Mimran, are suspected of having benefited from a privileged detention regime thanks to the favors of the detention director of the wing where they were incarcerated, Khalid El Khal.

Tried for passive corruption and criminal association

He will be tried from November 8 to 10 for passive corruption and criminal association, alongside three detainees considered to be "

the corrupters

", prosecuted for active corruption.

They are Arnaud Mimran, Éric Robic, the French driver who ran over an Israeli in Tel Aviv in September 2011 before fleeing, and Fabrice Touil, another actor in the CO2 scam.
