There is already speculation about the 2024 US election. Even if Michelle Obama does not want to run, her chances are obviously not bad.

WASHINGTON DC – Although it is only a year since the US presidential election*, the campaign for the 2024 election is already in full swing.

There is already a lot of speculation about the 60th election of the President.

Above all, former US President Donald Trump * heated the debate.

Trump recently positioned himself as the Republican candidate for the 2024 US election*.

But Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida, also gets involved.

He is still considered a hot candidate for the presidency.

While Joe Biden's plans for a possible re-election are still a long way off, Vice President Kamala Harris* could also start in 2024.

This was reported by the US newspaper The Hill.

Although her poll numbers have plummeted in the past, 31 percent of Democrat supporters would back Harris.

At least that was the result of a survey by Morning Consult and Politico in mid-December 2021.

The rumors also surround former US Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton - as a possible "hope" for the Democrats, The Hill further reported.

The discussions also focused on former US first lady Michelle Obama.

According to a poll by UK-based polling firm YouGov, Michelle Obama was named one of the world's "Most Admired" Women of 2021. Kamala Harris was 11th and Clinton 12th. The polling firm's list also included acting icons like Angelina Jolie and superstars like Taylor Swift.

As The Hill further reported, Michelle Obama is an authentic person who speaks to Democrats, independents, women and minority voters.

"Michelle Obama embodies a modern American success story," said Myra Adams, editor of the US newspaper.

US election 2024: Michelle Obama rules out presidential candidacy

Without question, Obama's popularity would appeal to many people in the United States.

The Democrat's memoirs alone enjoyed great popularity.

At launch, their bestseller sold more than two million copies in North America within the first 15 days.

However, the former first lady had repeatedly ruled out a presidential candidacy.

In a 2018 interview, she explained that she "never had the passion for politics" like her husband.

The US editor of The Hill at least did not rule out whether the Democrats might not encourage Michelle Obama to consider running for office shortly before the US election.

In any case, Republicans would not be happy about that.

"God help us.

She could beat any of our candidates.

It's a good thing she doesn't want to run," a Republican activist was quoted as saying by The Hill.
