A man accused of manufacturing false passes for access to the areas of the Sanremo Festival was denounced by the police on charges of fraud.
The story began last night.
During the checks set up to verify the regular influx of people authorized to access the Green carpet, the agents of the Sanremo police station and Digos stopped a man with a pass that was found to be counterfeit.
In an attempt to enter the Ariston he had shown a pass bearing the identity and photo of the owner, the logo of the television broadcast of "Rai1" and the QR-code.
Following some investigations, the pass was found to be handcrafted and, therefore, not valid.
The man then declared that he went to Sanremo with an acquaintance of his, indicating the author of the pass.
The latter, tracked down near a hotel in the city of flowers, stated that he had printed the passes just before reaching Sanremo, adding that he had not used them.
