A residential fire broke out in Tseung Kwan O.
At about 1:00 a.m. on the fifth day of the lunar new year (February 5), a high-rise unit in Guangxin Court of Guangmingyuan suddenly caught fire. The fire was violent and a large amount of smoke was emitted. A large number of residents called the police for help. Residents must take shelter on the rooftop.
Firefighters arrived after receiving the report and used a throat and a team of smoke caps to put out the fire. The fire was put out after more than half an hour. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
It is understood that firefighters rescued a man and a woman from the fire unit. They inhaled thick smoke and became unwell. They were taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital by ambulance after being awake. In addition, a man and a woman residents felt unwell and were later sent to United Hospital.

According to the clips taken by nearby residents, the unit that caught fire was caught in a sea of flames, the flames spewed out of the window, the fire debris fell downstairs, the smoke swept into the air, and there were many slight explosions.
