A US official announced today that the United States has restored sanctions waivers related to the activities of Iran's nuclear program after it had rescinded them during the rule of former US President Donald Trump.
AFP quoted the US official as saying: "We have decided to reinstate sanctions relief," considering that this decision allows "facilitating technical discussions that are necessary in the last weeks of the Vienna talks," referring to the negotiations that will resume in the coming days in the Austrian capital between Tehran. And a group of four plus one.
And the spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mahmoud Abbas Zadeh Mishkini, had announced earlier that "the other party in the nuclear negotiations has so far agreed to cancel some sanctions imposed on Iran."
