Captured in Mexico one of the 10 most wanted fugitives by the FBI

One of the 10 most wanted fugitives by the FBI was captured in Guadalajara, Mexico on Thursday, February 3, after being on the run for 16 years, federal authorities reported.

This is Octaviano Juárez-Corro, who was included in the list of most wanted fugitives last September.

He was wanted in a 2006 Milwaukee mass shooting. Authorities believe Juarez-Corro shot several people celebrating Memorial Day with a picnic at South Shore Park on the shores of Lake Michigan.

The attack left two dead and three wounded, including his wife.

The woman told him that she could not see her that day and asked her to leave her.

Juarez-Corro became enraged and pulled out a pistol, with which he shot his wife, as well as his family and several of his friends.

At the time, Juárez Corro and his wife were separated and in the final stages of their divorce, the FBI reported.

His capture took place in the town of Zapopán, located in the great metropolitan area of ​​Guadalajara, in the state of Jalisco, and was carried out in coordination with the Mexican Attorney General's Office.
