Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser (SPD) is criticized by politicians from the CDU and CSU because she - then still chairwoman of the SPD Hessen - published a text in "Antifa", the magazine of the VVN-BdA (Association of those persecuted by the Nazi regime - Bund der antifascists).

First the "image" had reported about it.

Faeser's text was prompted by right-wing extremist threatening letters, addressed to the SPD politician herself, among others. The letters were signed "NSU 2.0" and were sent to politicians and private individuals between 2018 and 2021. In addition to Faeser, Janine Wissler was also affected. At that time, the leader of the left was also in the Hessian state parliament. Feaser wrote about intimidation and "fantasies about the annihilation of dissenters" and how individuals on the internet "enable each other to fascist fantasies."

The Union politicians do not seem to be bothered by the content of Feaser's text, but by the medium in which it was published.

Because the Bavarian Office for the Protection of the Constitution described the VVN-BdA in 2018 as "the largest left-wing extremist-influenced organization in the field of anti-fascism in Germany".

The "world" suspects that other offices for the protection of the constitution are also watching the unification.

The CDU domestic politician Christoph de Vries claimed in "Bild" regarding Faeser's text in "Antifa": "The SPD is largely blind in the left eye." Stephan Mayer (CSU) demanded "a quick apology" and the "withdrawal of the contribution". .

The coalition partner FDP, on the other hand, is backing the interior minister.

The "Welt am Sonntag" said FDP parliamentary group leader Konstantin Kuhle: "The text is ideal for reading for CDU and CSU domestic politicians who have underestimated the danger of right-wing extremism for years." the head of the German domestic intelligence service was not stopped«.

Kuhle is alluding to the former President of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Hans-Georg Maassen.

Kuhle said of the minister: "According to my experience so far, Nancy Faeser is not suspected of representing left-wing extremist attitudes."

Left leader Wissler also described the accusation of the Union politicians regarding the medium "Antifa" as "completely absurd" in the "Welt".

Faeser's guest contribution was "correct and important", it was "good that Nancy Faeser has been so clearly opposed to the extreme right for many years and also as Federal Minister of the Interior".

Wissler also said that the VVN-BdA was "an important force in the fight against Nazis and right-wing structures and against forgetting".

Faeser himself or the Ministry of the Interior have not yet commented on the "world".
