Major banks adjust service, 51 Bank of China branches will be closed next week, see the latest list

HSBC

In response to changes in the novel coronavirus epidemic, HSBC will further adjust branch service arrangements.

From next Monday (7th), additional 15 retail bank branches and two SME centres will be temporarily suspended until further notice (please refer to the table below for details).

The measures announced earlier to adjust branch service hours will remain in effect.

In addition, due to a branch staff member being diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, HSBC Ma On Shan Branch and Premier Banking Centre (Shop 2601-04, 2/F, Sunshine City Centre, 628 Sai Sha Road, Ma On Shan, New Territories) will be temporarily closed from next week until further notice.

The employee's last work date is January 31, 2022.

The branch has been deep cleaned and disinfected, and the adjacent Easy Banking Centre will maintain normal services.

The bank has arranged for all employees of the bank to undergo virus testing as a preventive measure, and will provide employees with appropriate support and assistance.

Hang Seng Bank

In response to the development of the epidemic, Hang Seng Bank will only maintain services at 9 ground-level branches on Saturdays starting from February 5 (Saturday).

Other ground level branches and MTR station offices will be closed on Saturday until further notice.

BOCHK

Standard Chartered Bank

In line with the government's latest anti-epidemic measures, Standard Chartered Hong Kong announced today that it will reduce branch services from February 8 to February 25. During the three-week period, individual branches will suspend services according to the list below.

The cut-off time for cheque deposit via ATM has also been changed to 4:00 pm from Monday to Friday.

The bank has also adjusted its branch service on Saturdays.

Central Head Office, North Point Branch, Aberdeen Branch, Tak Fuk Plaza Branch, Mong Kok North Branch, Sheung Shui Branch, Sha Tin Plaza Branch, Tsuen Wan Sha Tsui Road Branch are open on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, while other branches are open Services will be suspended on Saturdays until further notice.
