The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission renewed its call on international human rights and human rights organizations to intervene immediately to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to transfer the cancer-stricken prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid to a hospital in the West Bank for treatment.

Abed Rabbo pointed out that the occupation authorities refuse to transfer him to a hospital in the West Bank or to transfer his brother to the Ramle prison to help him, noting that the commission is communicating with the International Committee of the Red Cross and international institutions to pressure the occupation and release him.
Abed Rabbo explained that the pneumonia that Abu Hamid suffers from as a result of the bacterial contamination he was previously exposed to as a result of medical negligence in the occupation detention centers and the commission of a medical error against him when they implanted the breathing tube incorrectly is no less dangerous than the cancer from which he originally suffers.
