Markus Söder has been talking about loosening the corona virus for days.

Now the state government wants to create facts: the curfew is being pushed back.

More rules could fall.

Munich – Markus Söder has been pleading for further easing of the corona measures for days. * This week he apparently wants to take the next step in the cabinet: Bavaria’s strict curfew is relaxed.

According to information from the

Munich Merkur*

, the state government is preparing a decision to open the catering trade until 11 p.m. or midnight in the future.

On Tuesday, the CSU* and Free Voters want to clear the way for this, which will still be valid during the week.

Corona relaxation in Bavaria: Markus Söder plans a later curfew

There are probably "further cautious steps" possible when loosening, it is said in the environment of Prime Minister Markus Söder* (CSU).

He inquired about the clinic data again in all regions at the weekend.

Tenor: The infections are still extremely high, but there is hardly any impact on the clinics.

Occasionally the numbers on the normal wards are increasing, but there is no increase in intensive care patients.

Curfew is being relaxed in Bavaria: Free voters and the FDP have wanted this for a long time

There is a clear majority in the state government for a later curfew (currently 10 p.m.) – the Free Voters have been campaigning for it for days.* Approval is also foreseeable for the other parties in the state parliament.

For comparison: Austria pushed back the 10 p.m. curfew by two hours at the weekend.

In the past few days, several opposition politicians had also campaigned for an end to the curfew in Bavaria.

"The innkeepers don't want state alms, they want to finally cultivate Bavarian hospitality again," said FDP parliamentary group leader Martin Hagen, for example.

Corona in Bavaria: further loosening possible

Bavaria can regulate the curfew without consulting the federal government.

In January, Söder had already doubled the number of spectators for culture to 50 percent and allowed up to 10,000 spectators in sport.

Here, too, steps should follow this or next week.

In addition, the suspension of the 2G rule in trade, which was enforced by a court, remains.

Only the mask requirement remains, and that for a long time.

At the same time, Söder is promoting a phased plan to the federal government.

Here there is support from the FDP in the traffic light coalition.

Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck (Greens) and Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD) warn against a quick relaxation.

The nationwide seven-day incidence exceeded 1400 for the first time at the weekend, and 1700 in Bavaria. The Fürstenfeldbruck district again has the nationwide peak value with 3822.8.

The reason was massive late reports in the past few days.
