Anzing
- At 11:15 p.m., drivers reported several sports cars, some of which braked to a standstill and then started at full throttle like in a race.
The traffic police Hohenbrunn speaks of luck that there was no accident.
A little later, civilian patrols observed two “racing drivers” and stopped them – a 31-year-old from Eching and a 30-year-old from Munich.
After consultation with the Munich II public prosecutor's office, a sports car worth over €100,000 was confiscated.
Furthermore, as part of the criminal proceedings initiated for the offense of prohibited motor vehicle racing, the driver's license was confiscated from both drivers in preparation for the confiscation.
Police are looking for witnesses to the illegal car race
After the speeders apparently drove up and down the highway several times, witnesses to the incidents are urgently sought.
Anyone who can provide relevant information about what is happening on the A 94 in the area from the Pastetten junction to the Munich city area is asked to contact the traffic police in Hohenbrunn on 08102/7445-0.
