The Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, spoke tonight (Sunday) with US President Joe Biden on the phone, and the two discussed, among other things, "Iranian aggression", as defined in the Prime Minister's Office. This is the first conversation between the two in three months, after meeting at the conference The climate in Glasgow in November.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, Bennett congratulated President Biden on the assassination operation of ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi, noting that the world is now a safer place thanks to the courageous action of American forces.
The leaders also discussed "regional challenges, led by increasing Iranian aggression and steps to halt the Iranian nuclear program. The two also discussed the situation between Russia and Ukraine."
The Prime Minister thanked the President for his steadfast support for Israel personally and for the entire American administration, emphasizing American assistance in financing the Iron Dome.
The prime minister invited the president and his wife to visit Israel, and the leaders agreed to keep in touch.
