Mother of All Queens: Elizabeth Celebrates 70 Years on the Throne Israel today

2022-02-06T04:32:05.324Z

The kingdom is excited: An entire nation is embracing Queen Elizabeth II, who is celebrating 70 years on the throne today • There is (and probably will not be) a figure who has been at the center of historical events for so long the Queen!

It is difficult to find another person who has been at the center of the historical events that shaped the 20th century for so long: neither an official nor a minister, prime minister or president.

Only one queen has managed to stay in office for 70 years.

The Queen of England, Elizabeth II, is a living testimony to the fate of the world.

Simultaneously with her ascension to the throne, at the age of only 25 and in the first years of her reign, Elizabeth II had to deal with a particularly problematic legacy, in the form of a crumbling empire and the loss of Britain's central role on the international stage.

To witness the rise of the United States as the world power in a bipolar world, together with the Soviet Union.

The world changed before her eyes even before she seized the kingdom: India's independence was declared in 1947, and a year later the establishment of the Jewish state came after the departure of the Mandate from Palestine-Israel.

The superpower then began to lose its grip on "settlements" in Africa, and 1997 marked the end of British rule in Asia as well, with the surrender of Hong Kong.

A question that is often asked is "Who even needs kings nowadays?".

This is another crisis that Elizabeth II dealt with respectfully in light of the many upheavals in her inner circle, the exposure of which caused great embarrassment among her people, and the image of a particularly troubled family that emerged from Buckingham Palace.

We will mention only part of the long list: Prince Charles' troubled marriage to Princess Diana, until her tragic death in a car accident;

The departure of her life partner, Prince Philip, last year;

The rape affair in which her son, Prince Andrew, is involved, after several mysterious visits he made in the past to the private island of the Jewish millionaire Jeffrey Epstein, an affair that these days is actually making headlines around the world;

And if that's not enough, then there is also the ongoing crisis of Prince Harry and Megan Merkel, who stopped representing the British monarchy, left London and moved to the US.

There is not a single figure in the British royal family around whom a cloud of mystery, discrimination and a certain bizarreness has hovered, except for the Queen.

Elizabeth II has always remained steadfast and in her place, and today, at the age of 95, holds control and sweeps the monarchy to a new era.

It is doubtful whether her heirs will be able to fill the place she will leave after her class.

Britain is already preparing for "the day after"

Britain has known a lot of shocks in recent years: endless Brexit struggles, elections and political assassinations, and of course the corona plague on all its social and economic consequences.

But there seems to be one thing every Briton is trying to suppress - the post-Queen Elizabeth era, which broke all the records of her predecessors on the British Crown.

When the Queen is already 95 years old, even if it is unpleasant, there is no escape from dealing with the shock that will be felt around the world when Elizabeth is no longer alive.

When that happens, for the first time since 1952, the throne will pass into new hands, and the kingdom - which has changed its face in the decades that have passed - will be ruled by a queen.

The special operation to be launched in the arms of the British government has already been given a name: "London Bridge".

When the time comes for the Queen's death to be determined, the following message will be conveyed to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet Secretary: "The London Bridge has fallen."

The royal house will then draft an official version that will be transmitted to the BBC network, which will be responsible for reading it to the public, and the flags in all government offices will be lowered to half-mast.

According to the documents detailing the meticulous preparations for this event, some of which were leaked to Politico, this day will be called "D-Day" - like the day of the famous Allied invasion of World War II.

Each day thereafter, for the next ten days, will be set to D + 1 and so on.

At the same time, the official website of the Royal House will become a black page with a short notice announcing the death of the Queen, and the official page of the British Government will have a black bar at the top.

The stripe will also appear on the profile pages of the social networks of government ministries and they will stop posting non-urgent information.

The "London Bridge" will fall, and then Charles will reign

At this point in the day, the royal family is also scheduled to announce the queen's funeral arrangements, which will take place on the tenth day of her death.

At the same time, cannons will roar the British capital with an official salute and a minute of silence will be held all over the kingdom.

At six in the evening that day Prince Charles, who would already be king, would speak to the nation after meeting with the British Prime Minister.

In addition, a memorial service will be held at St Paul's Cathedral in London.

Ten days after the Queen's death, the funeral will be held, on a day that will also be declared a national mourning day, which is similar to a Sabbath day.

The funeral service will be held at Westminster Abbey.

The ceremony will begin with two minutes of silence at 12:00 p.m.

The coffin will then be moved to Windsor Castle south of London, after moving through the streets of the capital.

After the coffin reaches the castle, Elizabeth is buried next to her late husband Philip near the castle in the "Progmore Estate".

For the purpose of burial, Philip's body will be removed from the "Royal Vault" - a museum of non-royal monarchs.
