The SpVgg Hebertshausen mourns the loss of honorary member Anton Orthofer.
He died at the age of 90.
Hebertshausen – Anton Orthofer, better known in Hebertshausen as “Berger Toni” is dead. Berger Toni because he grew up on the Bergerhof.
On March 3rd he would have been 91 years old.
Orthofer attended elementary school in Hebertshausen and learned the trade of carpenter.
He got married and his son Klaus and daughter Sonja came.
In between, he built a pretty house in the immediate vicinity of his parents' farm.
In addition to work and family, sport was his passion.
Already in 1946 he had joined the SpVgg Hebertshausen.
From youth to the honor league, he ran after the round leather for the green-whites.
But he was not only there for the SpVgg as a footballer.
He coached the 1st football team, in the 1960s he led them up to the then A-class, which roughly corresponds to the district league today.
His many years of work as chairman of the association should also be mentioned.
Under his leadership, among other things, the first club house including football pitches was built on Mayor-Rabl-Strasse in 1968/1969.
In addition to football, he was also an avid skier.
Until old age he was out and about with his family and friends on the slopes in the well-known ski areas in Bavaria and Austria.
He was also on the move with the SpVgg ski department.
In recent years he has taken it a little easier.
But the SpVgg footballers were still close to his heart.
His advice and knowledge were in demand.
Of course, he had long since been made an honorary member of the SpVgg Hebertshausen.
With his partner Annemarie, his son Klaus and his daughter Sonja mourn his death with families, neighbors, friends and the members of the SpVgg.
The service followed by the urn burial will take place next Wednesday, February 9th, at 11 a.m. in the parish church of Hebertshausen.
