With the establishment of the new electoral system of "patriots ruling Hong Kong", in the Legislative Council election at the end of last year, whether the Democratic Party will participate in the election, or whether it will support non-Party members, has become the focus one after another, and political differences have emerged.

Vice-chairman Liang Yiting and party member Su Yiheng face being expelled from the party for violating discipline and supporting outsiders, while the party membership of veteran Li Huaming has been frozen.

It is reported that Yang Haoran, vice chairman of the Central and Western District Council, who is also regarded as a candidate for election, also bid farewell to party members last night (5th), indicating that he has quit the Democratic Party, which has been in the Democratic Party for 22 years, explaining that he has to leave due to personal reasons.

In last year's Legislative Council election, five non-establishment candidates sought the support of the Democratic Party. Poon Cheuk-hung from East Hong Kong Island and Choi Ming-hei from South East New Territories responded to the party's questionnaire, and it was Lei Yang Haoran as their recommenders.

However, Yang Haoran is not like Liang Yiting, Su Yiheng and Li Huaming. He did not insist on supporting outsiders when the Democratic Party did not approve the support.

"Hong Kong 01" is making inquiries to Yang Haoran and the Democratic Party Chairman Luo Jianxi.

It is understood that Yang Haoran said in the party communication group yesterday that he has quit the Democratic Party. "I have joined the Democratic Party for 22 years. It is an honor to walk with you. Now I need to leave for personal reasons."

One of only 3 District Councillors in the Central and Western District

Yang Haoran, who is currently a member of the Central and Western District of Beau Chui District, started his political career in 1999 as a candidate for the Eastern District Council. He was already a member of the Democratic Party, but he failed to enter the parliament.

In 2003, he transferred to the existing constituency and was successfully elected, and was successfully re-elected.

By 2011, Yang Haoran had lost to the establishment by only 33 votes under the sniping of the people's forces, and in 2015, he had lost only 69 votes.

During the anti-amendment incident in 2019, Yang Haoran successfully returned to the District Council and became the Vice-Chairman of the Central and Western District Council without any competition at the beginning of the following year.

After the swearing-in scandal last year, Yang Haoran is one of about 60 pro-democracy district councillors who have been successfully confirmed to be valid. However, the Central and Western District Council to which he belongs has only 3 councillors and is almost closed.

Yang, who is currently a lawyer, assisted former party member and Legislative Council member Xu Zhifeng to file a court case during the anti-amendment incident, and privately prosecuted the police in the shooting incident in Sai Wan Ho and the taxi driver in the collision incident in Sham Shui Po.

Luo Jianxi regrets the leak of the Democratic Party, and it is difficult to trace the leaker: Why don't you ask the reporter?

Li Huaming's party membership was frozen and his party membership was approved by the Democratic Party's Disciplinary Committee. The Central Committee did not respond: leaking secrets damaged the mutual trust of party members. Li Huaming's party membership was frozen or quit the party.

The Democratic Party will discuss the removal of Liang Yiting and Su Yiheng's party membership and freeze Li Huaming's party membership for half a year
