Update February 7th:

In times of reporting backlog, 1902 new corona infections are included in the district statistics.

The seven-day incidence for FFB County is 3,965.45 per 100,000 people, according to local health department calculations.

The Robert Koch Institute gives the value as 4084.

Among those who tested positive are two asylum seekers from Germering and Puchheim.

Overall, the infection process is considered diffuse.

19 people with Covid findings are treated in the district clinic, nobody needs to be ventilated.

66.27 percent of the total population received two vaccinations in the county, and 50.41 percent received booster shots.

No more contact tracing in schools and daycare centers

The district office reports that the overview of corona cases in schools and daycare centers in the corona update is no longer available.

Reason: As a result of the change in strategy of the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care in coordination with the responsible ministries, the contact person determination in corona cases in schools and daycare centers is no longer carried out.

The decision as to whether entire groups or school classes have to go into quarantine is made by the school management.

the provider of a day-care center, according to the district office.

As a result, the local health department no longer keeps statistics on the individual cases in the school or day care center and the quarantine measures associated with them.

In order to ensure the safety of the children and pupils, schools and daycare centers carry out an intensified test regime in addition to the general hygiene measures in the event of infection.

If there is a serious increase in infections in a school class, the school management will order distance learning for the whole class for a total of five days a week.

The local health department can also classify all students in the affected class as close contact persons, so that they would basically be in quarantine according to the general decree;

there is then no longer any need for an individual order from the health department.

The school will inform those affected about the decision of the health department.

(cf. https://www.km.bayern.de/allgemein/meldung/7047/faq-zum-zettelungsbetrieb-an-bayerns-schulen.html )

If cases of infection accumulate in groups of day-care centers, the provider can close the affected group for the next five days of the week.

The decision is made by the provider or the facility management.

The health department should be informed immediately by the provider or the facility management about the accumulation.

The health department can then classify all children of the affected group as close contacts.

This means that the children may have to go into quarantine in addition to the group closure.

After returning from the group closure, all children, including those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered, should provide proof of testing.

Update February 4th:

The district of Fürstenfeldbruck gained sad fame on Friday. With 3019.1 corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, according to the RKI, he was the front runner in Bavaria (before Dachau) and number two in all of Germany (behind the Berlin district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf). This does not mean, however, that the omicron wave will suddenly completely collapse over the region. The numbers are misleading. As the district office announced on Thursday, they are related to the high number of late reports of positive tests and the waiting times for the results. Because of the high number of cases, it is hardly possible to trace who was infected and when. It is a late registration traffic jam, said a spokeswoman.

District Administrator Thomas Karmasin speaks of a technical error, due to which a number of reports were initially not included and then subsequently reported in one fell swoop.

This makes it look as if the infections all took place within a very short time, which of course increases the incidence dramatically.

"The truth is: we weren't particularly good before and aren't particularly bad now, but we are in line with the trend in the Munich area," Karmasin said on the Internet network Facebook.

The district administrator also emphasizes that the district clinic is not yet overburdened - even if the employees are under high pressure.

This statistical phenomenon

had already been observed in other Upper Bavarian districts in the past few days.

For example in the neighboring district of Starnberg.

Because the Nachmeldeberg there has meanwhile moved out of the Corona balance of the current cases, the nominal incidence there is already falling again.

According to local calculations, the incidence for the FFB district on Friday is 3677.27 per 100,000 inhabitants.

2333 corona cases were newly included in the statistics on Friday.

18 people with Covid findings are treated in the district clinic, nobody needs to be ventilated.

Two vaccinations in the district have received 66.10 percent of the total population.

50 percent received a booster vaccination.

According to the recommendation

of the Stiko permanent vaccination commission, the district will also offer immunizations with Novavax in its vaccination center.

As the district office said on Friday, this is only in preparation.

How and from when the vaccine can be used in the district has not yet been determined.

It may be available from February 21, the vaccination center said.

However, appointments cannot be booked yet.

vaccination campaigns

The following changes have been made to the mobile vaccination campaigns: The campaign in Alling on February 13th will now take place in the Bürgerhaus, Hoflacher Str. 5.

During the mobile vaccination campaigns in Puchheim / district center Planie, Adenauerstr.

18, on 02/18

and 18.03.

Children from the age of 5 can now also be vaccinated.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.

Update February 3:

Compared to the previous day, 3212 new corona cases have become known.

The seven-day incidence for FFB County is 2923.64 per 100,000 people, according to local health department calculations.

The district office reports many late reports in this context.

It cannot be distinguished what new reports are from today and which reports came from the past few days.

The office wants to wait and see what the Robert Koch Institute registers as new reports.

The RKI currently gives the incidence value for the district as 1093.

In the Bruck district, 14 people in twelve different daycare centers recently tested positive, as did two residents of asylum accommodation in Bruck and Gröbenzell.

The health department also reports a major corona outbreak in a retirement home.

23 residents and 15 employees are currently infected with the virus.

A total of 57 residents in five retirement homes are currently positive, as are 51 employees in ten retirement homes.

19 people with Covid findings are treated in the district clinic, nobody needs to be ventilated.

In the district two vaccinations have received 66.02 percent of the total population.

49.77 percent received booster vaccinations.

At least 4,000 people in the district are currently likely to be infected.

The numbers for each location can be found here.

The Stiko has meanwhile issued a new vaccination recommendation.

In addition, the Brucker Vaccination Center is once again offering special appointments.

Longer waiting times

Due to the current situation, there may be longer waiting times at the state test centers of the district office in Fürstenfeldbruck, Zenettistraße and Germering, Kerschensteiner Straße, especially in the periods reserved for symptomatic people.

The district office points this out.

An increase in personnel is no longer possible due to the spatial conditions.

"We ask everyone waiting for their understanding and patience." The laboratory evaluation and transmission of the results of the tests, on the other hand, are now faster again, since the district office has arranged for additional transfers of the test kits to the evaluating laboratory, which in turn was able to increase capacity.
