Lieberman: One of the reasons for the high cost of living - the rate of participation in the work of ultra-Orthodox
The Minister of Finance said at a meeting of his faction that "if the employment rate in the ultra-Orthodox sector were similar to the general sector, it would have generated another NIS 20 billion."
Lieberman's remarks provoked outrage in Torah Judaism: "His words should be sent in a wheelbarrow to a landfill."

Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman said today (Monday) that "everyone ignores the fact that in the ultra-Orthodox public more than 50% do not participate in the labor force, this is one of the reasons for the cost of living."
Lieberman also said at a meeting of the Yisrael Beiteinu faction that "if the employment rate in the ultra-Orthodox sector were similar to the general sector, it would have generated another NIS 20 billion."
The chairman of Torah Judaism, MK Moshe Gafni, attacked the words of the finance minister and said that "Lieberman's serious remarks at the faction meeting about the cost of living do not even deserve a response. His remarks should be sent by wheelbarrow to the landfill."
