Real breakup: from Amberg to Zwiesel - these branches should be retained

A total of 56 Real branches will continue to exist.

The once dense Real network in Germany is clearing up.
However, almost 60 Real locations will continue to operate under the old flag.
An overview.
Düsseldorf – The Real network in Germany is slowly dissolving.
The Russian investor group SCP has taken over the approximately 270 locations of the hypermarket chain.
She smashed them one after the other and mostly sold them to Edeka*, Kaufland* and Globus.
56 Real branches will remain
But numerous Real branches are also saved.
A total of 56 locations are to remain under the old flag in the future.
They are to be taken over by an investor.
Sven Tischendorf will then be the managing director, as reported by the

He runs a law firm in Frankfurt that specializes in restructuring.
This restructuring could be absolutely necessary.
Just like the renovation of many branches.
Neither Edeka, Kaufland nor Globus have expressed interest in 40 of the 56 other Real branches.
The reason: there is a renovation backlog at many locations.
Even roofs are said to be partially leaky.
The Globus managing director explained in an interview with
Business Insider
that some stores have to be almost completely demolished and rebuilt.
Kaufland and Edeka have to do without shops
The investor deal also saved some Real branches that were otherwise threatened with closure.
But the rescue also has consequences for the other buyers.
Kaufland has to do without seven stores and Edeka has to do without two.
