The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for pressure on the occupation to stop its violations

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to immediately intervene, assume its legal and moral responsibilities, and put pressure on the Israeli occupation to stop its relentless violations and crimes against the Palestinians and their property and sanctities.

The ministry condemned, in a statement today, reported by the Palestinian Wafa Agency, the settlers’ escalation of their attacks against the Palestinians by protecting the occupation forces in the West Bank, especially the occupied city of Jerusalem, which is subjected to continuous attempts to change its historical, legal and demographic reality and to completely Judaize it.

The Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of the international community's response to Palestinian demands to provide protection for the Palestinian people and their property in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, which affirms the illegality of Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories and demands an immediate halt.

The Israeli occupation plans to establish 5,250 new settlement units on the lands of the villages of Al Walaja, Sataf, Wadi Al Sarar and Ein Karem in occupied Jerusalem, as part of its attempts to Judaize and besiege the city from south to west and prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 line, with Jerusalem as its capital.
