The special children's second-hand shop run by Claudia Setzler is a little hidden in the inner courtyard at Augsburger Strasse 1b in Bruck.

Fürstenfeldbruck - On around 220 square meters, the "piggy bank", as she called her shop, offers a large selection of second-hand children's and baby clothing from size 50 to 128, toys, children's books and accessories such as bottle warmers or baby monitors.

Claudia Setzler has been running the business for 17 years, first in Kottgeisering and for about seven years in the district town.

She accepts the goods on commission from her customers and receives 50 percent of the proceeds for resale.

clothes swap parties

Spurred on by the idea of more sustainability, used children's clothing is not only easy on the wallet, but also makes ecological sense, says Setzler, who has also been saving food on a voluntary basis for almost four years.

"Through conscious consumption and careful use of resources, we are good to our environment and protect our livelihoods," says Setzler.

Since mid-December, Setzler has also been offering clothing swap parties for well-preserved modern women's clothing.

Here, too, sustainability is important to her: pass it on instead of throwing it away – rummage through, swap and find new stylish parts, that's the credo.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.

"This is purely an exchange of clothes, from which I earn nothing." People should hand in their clothes or decorative items, which Setzler collects and then, when the shelves are full, a start date for the exchange on Facebook announces, of course also here in compliance with the Corona requirements.

"They can exchange and take as many parts as they bring with them." But so far the response has been muted, says Setzler.

This may also be due to the corona pandemic.

"Actually, I plan to organize a clothes swap like this four times a year," she says.

opening hours

During the corona pandemic, the "piggy bank" was open every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

At these times, the exchange items can be brought by without an appointment.
