The Queen plans public appearances in March

For a long time, you could only get an idea of the Queen's health from photos and videos published by the palace.
This is about to change soon.
Windsor/London - In her anniversary year, the Queen obviously feels healthy again for public appearances.
The PA news agency reported on Monday, citing palace circles, that Queen Elizabeth II would attend several events in March.
In the meantime, the 95-year-old has returned to her Windsor residence near London, after spending a few days and her 70th jubilee on the Sandringham estate in East England.
The Queen plans to attend a diplomatic reception at Windsor Castle on March 2, the PA further reported.
In addition, the monarch wants to visit London's Westminster Abbey twice: on March 14 for Commonwealth Day, the annual celebration of the union of former British colonies, and on March 29 for a memorial service for her husband Prince Philip, who died on April 9, 2021 died at the age of 99.
The queen is also resuming other duties such as audiences and awards as well as attending meetings of her crown council, it was said.
The Queen has not appeared on public dates since October 2021.
The head of state showed up for the first time without a medical reason with a walking stick.
The Queen even spent the night of October 22 "for practical reasons" in the hospital, where she was for "preliminary examinations".
After that, the doctors ordered her to rest, and her schedule should be thinned out.

Now the Queen seems to be doing better.
In current videos and photos, she can be seen smiling and obviously in good spirits.
In honor of her 70th Jubilee, a new 50p coin honors the Queen.
The coin, whose value is the equivalent of 60 cents, has been in circulation since Monday.
Initially, 1.3 million coins will be issued, with a maximum of 5,000,070 coins to be minted - a nod to the 70 years that the Queen has been on the throne.

Post offices near the royal residences in Windsor and Sandringham were the first to receive the coins.
One side features the monarch on horseback, while the other features the platinum jubilee logo with a large '70'.
Elizabeth has been King George VI since the death of her father.

No monarch has been on the British throne longer than she.
Cannon shots were fired in London and Edinburgh on Monday to celebrate the start of the centenary year.
Celebrations are planned throughout the year.
