Thousands protest against Corona policy in the Northeast

In the north-east there were again protests in more than 20 cities against the Corona policy.
The confusing regulations for MV were criticized.
In some cities, however, candles were set up.
Schwerin/Neubrandenburg/Greifswald/Bergen - In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, several thousand people demonstrated again against what they considered to be too strict corona restrictions and compulsory vaccination.
According to the police, around 8,000 participants came to meetings and protests across the country, slightly fewer than in previous weeks.
Overall, the police secured actions in around 25 cities, with most of the participants again being counted in Neubrandenburg (1350) and Schwerin (1100).
There were protests with several hundred participants in Neustrelitz, Waren, Güstrow, Greifswald, Wismar and Anklam, among others.

Apart from a few violations of the mask requirement, especially in Western Pomerania, it remained largely peaceful.
In Torgelow (West Pomerania-Greifswald), a man with a knife was temporarily in police custody.
According to the police, the man belongs to the Reich citizen scene and did not want to give any personal details.
Counteractions, there were among others in Rostock, Anklam, Neustrelitz, Neubrandenburg, Parchim and Bergen on Ruegen.
In the largest city of reprimanding people lined the motto - as "Solidarity through the crisis vaccinated protects us all" 80 candles in memory of the dead in the pandemic on the steps of St. Mary's Church.
In Parchim candles were placed.
At almost all protest events, the mandatory vaccinations that had already been decided for people in the health professions and a possible general mandatory vaccination were criticized in particular.
"We work with heart, not with compulsory vaccination," said the banners in Neubrandenburg.
In Rostock, a protest meeting of several thousand people was planned at the port, but it was canceled shortly before it started.
After that, several larger groups of people moved through the center, which the police observed for the time being.
The seven-day incidence of new corona infections on Monday in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was 1,335 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days; a week ago it was 1,119.
