4787 new corona infections in MV: incidence increased slightly

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 4,787 new corona infections were registered on Tuesday - significantly more than exactly a week earlier.
On Tuesday last week there were 564 fewer cases.
As the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) in Rostock also announced, the seven-day incidence increased slightly compared to the previous day.
With 1356.0 new corona infections per 100.
Rostock – 000 inhabitants within seven days reported the Lagus an increase of 21.4.
The value for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was thus further below the national average, which the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) stated on Monday at 1441.0 - another high.
The state office again showed the highest seven-day incidence in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania by age group for 6 to 11-year-olds – the value was 4282. The seven-day incidence was for people aged 60 and over who were particularly at risk given as about 370.
349 patients with a corona infection were treated in the country's hospitals on Tuesday, 11 more than the day before.
The number of patients with corona in intensive care units increased by 7 to 80 during the same period. On Tuesday, 9 more deaths related to the virus were reported, bringing the total to 1,677.
The hospitalization incidence, which is important for protective measures - i.e. the number of patients admitted to hospitals with corona infection per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - rose to 7.9.
The traffic light level orange has been in effect for the entire country since last Friday.

However, the risk-weighted corona level map for the districts of Vorpommern-Greifswald and Mecklenburgische Seenplatte as well as for Schwerin shows the red level.
Because this was the case for the lake district for more than three days in a row, stricter rules have been in force here again since Tuesday based on the Corona state ordinance.
Corresponding measures had previously come into force for Western Pomerania-Greifswald and Western Pomerania-Rügen.
Despite all the appeals, the vaccination rate in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is hardly increasing.
According to the RKI, the rate of those who were vaccinated at least once was unchanged at 73.8 percent on Tuesday.
73 percent had full basic protection after usually two injections, and 52.7 percent received a booster vaccination.
