Bremen is following the example of other federal states and is relaxing corona requirements for retailers, which have long been warning of this.
However, the mask requirement and hygiene concepts continue to apply.
Bremen - Shopping is becoming less complicated again in the state of Bremen: the Senate decided on Tuesday to repeal the 2G regulation that applies to retail.
This means that customers will no longer have to show proof of their vaccination or recovery status.
However, the obligation to wear an FFP2 mask to protect against corona infections remains in place, as the health authorities announced.
The Senate also decided to abolish contact recording, for example in gastronomy or at events.
On Wednesday, the responsible constitutional and rules of procedure committee of the Bremen Parliament will deal with the decision.
If approved, the change can go into effect.
In Lower Saxony, the higher administrative court had already canceled the 2G regulation for retail in mid-December 2021.
On Tuesday, the Bremen Senate also set warning level 3 for the municipality of Bremen, which is expected to replace warning level four from Friday.
This means that the 2G Plus rule no longer applies in the catering trade as well as in cultural and leisure facilities.

With the 2G-plus regulation, those who have been fully vaccinated and those who have recovered must also present a negative test.
Excluded are people who have already received a booster vaccination.
With the change from warning level four to warning level three, the 2G regulation applies, which means that only vaccinated and recovered people have access.
