The Directorate of Agriculture in Rural Damascus has distributed 15,000 free forestry plants since the beginning of the campaign of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform to increase vegetation cover and green spaces in the province.
The engineer, Irfan Ziadeh, director of agriculture in the governorate, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the plants were distributed by the forestry departments in Damascus and its countryside at a rate of five plants per family through fixed centers throughout the month of February, explaining that a weekly distribution program was allocated in the governorate of Damascus countryside, and the beginning was launched in areas Douma, Harasta and Maliha, to ensure distribution to all areas of the governorate.
