The "three loops" technique: the hairstyle trick that highlights all faces

A simple hairstyle gesture could change the appearance of our face.

This is clearly demonstrated by British professional hairdresser Faith Dorritt in a video that has exceeded one million views on TikTok.

Facing the camera, the expert compares the right part and the left part of her head, asking her subscribers if they notice a difference.

On one side, her hair is simply relaxed.

On the other, it is punctuated with wavy undulations made in three specific places of her profile: at the level of the eyes, the cheeks and the corner of the lips.

According to the specialist, this optical effect allows both to open the eyes, to enhance the cheekbones and to enlarge the smile.

In the same way as the technique of contouring in make-up, this way of curling the hair shapes the face and highlights certain features thanks to the movement of the locks.

The technique of the three loops, step by step

At the request of the many amazed users in the comments below the video, Faith Dorritt made a hairstyle tutorial on her TikTok account (@faithdorritthair) in which she explains how to achieve these curls.

The right move?

Wrap a section of hair around the curling iron three times towards the back of the head and with the tip of the device pointing down.

The hollows of the curls should line up exactly with the areas to be accentuated (eyes, cheeks and jawline.) Allow to cool for a few seconds before styling with a paddle brush.

Then repeat the same thing on the other side of the parting.
