An antiquities dealer was arrested today (Monday) by the Civil Administration, on suspicion of robbery and trafficking in light double antiquities in the Nablus area.

Thousands of rare finds worth hundreds of thousands of shekels were confiscated from the merchant, including rare coins from the beginning of the advent of coins in Israel.

The merchant, who is considered one of the best-known merchants in Judea and Samaria, has been transferred for further investigation, and an indictment will be filed against him in the coming days.

"The Civil Administration will continue to work tirelessly against the despicable phenomenon of destruction and theft at archeological sites in Judea and Samaria."
