Rebound in growth, falling unemployment, job creations at their highest... There is the good economic news: it shows that France, inflated at "whatever the cost", is not doing so badly from the great Covid crisis.
And then there are the others, those who cruelly remind us that the patient is very far from being cured.
The announcement of a record trade deficit (nearly 85 billion euros!) does not deceive the still worrying state of our economy.
It sanctions its lack of competitiveness, which slows down growth, encourages relocations, deindustrializes an entire country with consequences that are disastrous to say the least.
For lack of sawmills, for example, the logs from our forests go to China to be processed and resold everywhere (including in France) by Asian companies who pocket the profits.
Who can still dare to believe in the "company without factories"?
Expensive to produce and not high-end enough, the "made in France" has lead in the wing.
