Professional ghost hunter Rachel Parsons claims that during a live broadcast from a haunted road near the Royal Air Force Base in Lincolnshire in the north-east of England, she managed to catch the ghost of a 19-year-old girl killed in a 1945 motorcycle accident.
The 49-year-old Rachel was looking for potential places for ghosts when she learned of the tragic story of Katherine Bastock, who was killed during World War II.
The woman known as 'Metheringham Las' was killed in an accident near the Royal Air Force base in Tringham when she was just 19. Over the years a number of sightings of a young woman who was seen crying in the middle of the road have been reported.
These led Rachel to try to locate the ghost herself and eventually also bring - what she claims to be - a chilling record of Catherine's skeletal face.

Rachel, who leads the Ratford Ghost Hunters, told Wales Live: "I believe we caught Catherine. I know there are skeptics out there, but that's my profession. Our team often hangs out in haunted places to catch ghosts. "In the case of Katherine Bastock, we came across her tragic story and decided to investigate the area where she was killed."
She added: "My partner and I parked on the road built on the runway. There were frost conditions. We started calling Catherine: 'Catherine, are you here?'
And we recounted her story. We had, what we call, 'cat balls.' "A huge blow to the car. It scared us. In addition to that, the ball in the front of the car started flashing. We broadcast it live at the time and we could see that other people noticed the ghost."
After returning home, Rachel said she was inundated with messages about the sighting and began going through the filming herself.
So she also absorbed what appeared to be Catherine's ghost standing in front of her car and smoking.
She added: "It looks like she is holding a cigarette in her hand. You can even see her skeleton face. I have heard stories about people who have seen her and that she is asking for help. It has been scary. I have been doing this for 20 years and I did not expect to see anything like it."

After years of observations in haunted places across the country, Rachel continues to fight skeptics and provide "evidence" for the existence of ghosts on Facebook and Instagram.
She added: "It's the continuing interest of the unknown. We have not yet found the answer, but we always say: 'We have not found the answer, but it's fun for us to try to find it.' "And look what we're doing. '
