The corona numbers in Munich, Bavaria and Germany continue to rise, and yet: CSU boss Söder has now announced enormous relief.
They apply from today.

New corona rules apply in Bavaria from today.
There is no longer a curfew in the gastro, the hairdresser now uses 3G instead of 2G and more spectators are allowed for sports and culture.
The state government justified the relief with the stable situation in the clinics.
Meanwhile, the incidence continues to rise.
On Wednesday, the RKI reported a value of 1840.4 (previous day: 1819.1).
The district of Fürstenfeldbruck (3553.5) remains the national leader.
The district of Eichstätt has 3506.8
the second highest incidence in all of Germany.
In Munich it is 2385.9, the day before it was 2206.2 and on Monday it was 2392.6.

The cabinet had agreed to “enter into the exit”.
The general regulation was extended until February 23, the easing would be decided today and will
come into force on Wednesday, February 9

Specifically, this involves the following measures:
The curfew for the gastronomy does not apply.
The 2G conditions remain intact.
Body-related services (such as visits to the hairdresser) will now take place in the 3G framework.
(So for vaccinated, recovered and tested.)
The audience capacity in the culture will be increased regionally and nationally to 75 percent.
Capacity at sporting events will be increased to 50 percent.

The omission of the facility-related vaccination requirement is justified because it would have caused a bureaucratic “chaos”, says Herrmann.
Furthermore, compulsory vaccination would be of little help for the currently rampant omicron variant.
One is thus much better prepared for the coming autumn, when possible new, more dangerous variants are again in circulation.
"Of course we are in favor of as many as possible being vaccinated," says Herrmann.
One does not therefore question the obligation to vaccinate, not even the facility-related one.
However, the concept specified by the federal government would "lead with seeing eyes into chaos."

Germany's hotspot remains the district of Fürstenfeldbruck (4031.3).

Corona bang in Bavaria!
According to information from the Munich Merkur from CSU circles, CSU boss Markus Söder is planning massive easing in the Free State.
The plan is to open up the culture to 75 percent.
The curfew for the gastronomy should be overturned.
In future, instead of the current 10,000 fans, 15,000 will be allowed in stadiums, and standing room will then be allowed again.
All of this is to be decided at the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Munich – The number of new infections continues to rise day by day.
The incidence in Munich at the beginning of the week (February 7) was 2392, and 1426 across Germany. Just a year ago, the then Minister of Health Jens Spahn (CDU) had declared incidences of less than 50 as a benchmark for easing - a year later the starting position could hardly be any different being.
Because despite high incidences, the number in the intensive care units remains stable.

So while Bavaria is looking for a new approach, Federal Minister of Health Lauterbach (SPD) warned against loosening too early.
He told BILD that the current point in time for widespread easing was too early.
Nevertheless, he emphasized that this could probably be tackled "well before Easter".
The reason: the peak of the omicron wave is expected in mid-February, then the situation can be reassessed.
