The fifth wave of the epidemic is severe, and the Legislative Council meeting to be held next Wednesday (16th) will be held remotely by Zoom video conference for the first time.
Next week's meeting will deal with the "Policy Address" thank-you motion for three consecutive days. According to the meeting agenda, the three secretaries and the 13 bureau chiefs will all attend the meeting.
The Legislative Council Secretariat wrote to Members that the meeting next Wednesday will start at 11:00 am and be suspended at about 7:00 pm; the meeting will resume at 9:00 am for the next two days.
The President of the Legislative Council will preside over the meeting in Conference Room 2A of the Legislative Council Complex, and relevant staff of the Secretariat (including the secretary) will be present with the President.
To maintain social distancing, other MPs and government officials are required to attend meetings remotely using Zoom.
The Secretariat reminds Members to use designated coloured virtual backgrounds when participating in remote Legislative Council meetings, wear business attire and maintain a solemn manner.
