The vaccination rate rose to 80.8%
Among those aged 12 or older, 26,119 people had their first injection yesterday, 21,333 had their second and 30,311 had their third, for a total of 77,763.
A total of nearly 5.48 million citizens aged 12 or above have received at least one dose of the vaccine, a rate of 80.8%; 4.9 million or 72.8% have completed the second dose, and 1.09 million have received the third dose.
Another 19,245 children aged 5 to 11 have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
Among them, the number of people who received the first dose broke the previous record again, reaching a new single-day high in the past five months since the end of August last year; and the number of people who received the third dose was a new record for a single day after the launch.

Comparing by age group, 85% or above of the citizens aged 12 to 59 have received at least one dose, among which citizens aged 40 to 49 are the most active, with an injection rate reaching 92.88%; among the group aged 60 to 69, some 76.34% had taken at least one dose, and the group aged 70 to 79 finally surpassed the 60% mark, reaching 61.9%; as for the citizens aged 80 or above, the rate of taking one dose was 33.21%, still lagging behind other groups. However, there has been a significant increase in the past month.

Nie Dequan said earlier that each vaccination center can have 60,000 injections per day. In order to improve the ability of new crown vaccination in a short period of time, the "Leighton Center Satellite Community Vaccination Center" located in Causeway Bay will start from this Friday (11th). Citizens are vaccinated with Fubitai.
At present, there are 15 community vaccination centers serving the public. Citizens can make an appointment for vaccination through the COVID-19 thematic website. The Leighton Center vaccination center does not have "same-day fundraising".
A total of 72,987 people were vaccinated against the new crown the day before yesterday, setting a new single-day high since the vaccine was launched, exceeding the daily limit of the vaccination center.
Nie Dequan posted a post on Facebook that night, mentioning that a total of 28,348 people were vaccinated in private clinics that day, which was also a new high in a single day.
Some netizens uploaded a photo on their Facebook page yesterday, mentioning that there were long queues outside two private clinics in Tseung Kwan O, all for vaccinations, with an estimated number of more than 20 people each.
