In Colombia, an attack recorded this Wednesday in the municipality of Granada, department of Meta, left at least 2 dead and 4 injured, according to the governor of Meta, Juan Guillermo Zuluaga.
"I repudiate and condemn the terrorist attack on the 21 Vargas Battalion in Granada," the governor wrote on Twitter.
“Today, more than ever, security efforts must be redoubled.
We do not want our department to become a theater of war again,” he added.
It is not clear whether the attack occurred inside or outside the military facility.
So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the incident.
Colombia reached a peace agreement years ago.
So why is violence on the rise?
