A decision has been made in the legal dispute between Böhmermann and Erdogan.
Karlsruhe – The satirist Jan Böhmermann has failed before the Federal Constitutional Court with a constitutional complaint against judgments that banned a slanderous poem he recited in 2016 about the Turkish head of state Recep Tayyip Erdogan*.
The court did not accept his constitutional complaint for decision, as announced on Thursday in Karlsruhe.
Courts in Hamburg had banned most of the poem in 2017 and 2018.
