Actor Bob Saget, 65, had COVID-19 and died as a result of "closed head trauma," according to an autopsy report released Thursday by the Orange County Medical Examiner's Office.

“In my opinion, the death of Robert Saget, a 65-year-old white male found unresponsive in a hotel room, is the result of closed head trauma.
Most likely, the decedent fell backwards with no witnesses and hit the back of his head.
The manner of death is an accident,” Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Joshua D. Stephany said in the autopsy report.
The report noted that a PCR test showed Saget tested positive for COVID-19.
She had said in December that she had covid-19 and PCR tests can be positive for weeks after recovery.
The autopsy said his heart was enlarged;
95% blocked on one side.
The report went on to say that his lungs showed "intravascular congestion with no acute or chronic inflammation present."

There was no alcohol present in his system, according to the report.
However, the report said that Clonazepam/Klonopin, which is taken for seizures, panic disorders and anxiety, was in his system.
In addition, the antidepressant Trazodone was found in Saget's system, according to the report.

Saget died in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida, last month.
In a family statement released this Wednesday, they also cited that he died after a head injury.

"Authorities determined that Bob passed away from head trauma. They concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, didn't think about it, and went to sleep," the statement said.
"There were no drugs or alcohol involved."
