Gernsheim – A woman died in a fatal accident on a federal road in southern Hesse on Friday afternoon (February 4th, 2022).

The 63-year-old's car collided head-on with a truck shortly before 12 p.m. on the B44 near Gernsheim (Groß-Gerau district*), the police said.

The driver succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.
