The deputy editor-in-chief of "Israel Today", Ariel Schmidberg, this evening (Thursday) informed the newspaper's management of his intention to retire, after 15 years in the organization.

For the past decade, Schmidberg has held senior positions at the paper.

Since 2011 Schmidberg has been the director of the news department, and in 2017 he was simultaneously appointed deputy editor-in-chief and director of the digital department.

"I built thousands of newspapers, headlines and headlines," Schmidberg said in response, "I led the beginning of 'Israel Today''s transition to the digital age, with a new website and app. "And podcasts.
