The light action is part of a demonstration that the alliance #MünchenWirdSichtbar has registered for Thursday from 7 p.m. on Odeonsplatz.

Munich: 22,000 people are expected

The organizers are planning with up to 22,000 participants.

The demo is intended to counterbalance the so-called “walkers” who have been marching through the streets for weeks against a possible compulsory vaccination and the corona measures.

"The walkers are not in solidarity," criticizes thousands.

He is particularly bothered by the fact that some anti-democratic forces and conspiracy theorists are behind these "walks".

#MünchenWirdSichtbar is aimed against these currents: "We want to work for respect, reason and democracy," says Thousand.

At the same time, he wants to commemorate the victims of the pandemic with his fellow campaigners and the demo participants.

To symbolize this, thousand wants to encourage the participants in the demo to draw "signs of solidarity" in the air with their cell phone lights or candles for several seconds.
