"The unifying role of the Russian people and the centuries-old interethnic and intercultural cooperation on the historical territory of the Russian state helped create a unique ethnic, cultural and linguistic diversity and spiritual unity of peoples adhering to the same principles and values," Magomedov added, stressing that preserving Russia's ethnic and cultural diversity and supporting traditional spiritual and moral values It is one of the strategic goals of Russian state policy.
In turn, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister (Andrei Rudenko) warned in an interview with TASS today that Western countries are taking active steps to pit Slav citizens against each other and prevent close cooperation between the former Soviet states with the aim of impeding their economic development and preventing them from strengthening their power in all areas.
On the situation in Ukraine and allegations of plans for a Russian invasion of this country, Rudenko said, “The situation has become completely absurd. We have confirmed several times and at various levels that we are not planning to invade or attack Ukraine, but Western countries and the Ukrainian authorities refuse to listen to these assurances, as it seems that the establishment of peace in This country is not of interest to the West at all.
