Four workers were killed and four others were injured in an explosion that rocked a petrochemical plant in Yeosu, south of the South Korean capital, Seoul, today.
South Korea's Yonhap News Agency quoted police as saying that the explosion occurred this morning at the Yocheon Company's plant in Yeosu, about 320 kilometers south of Seoul. Eight people are believed to have been at the site at the time.
Police and firefighters believe that the explosion occurred during testing of the factory's heat exchange system, noting that an investigation has been opened to ascertain its cause.
