Apparently, the tech group has recently put the current range to the test again.
Apple removes Lightning Dock from the range
A product is now no longer listed in the US, as the American news site 9to5Mac
, which specializes in Apple reporting,
found out: The Apple Lightning Dock charging station is no longer available for purchase on the official US website.
From an archive page, the product was last listed for sale online on the site on November 10, 2021.

concludes that Apple has not shipped any new devices since then.
On the other hand, the product can still be found on the German Apple website, but is no longer available.
The situation is similar in most European and Asian countries.
The current version of the Lightning Dock was only released in 2015 and can charge iPhones, AirPods and iPod Touch.
It costs 55 euros and can also be used to play music.
The charging station was also available in several colors - but recently the color selection was reduced to gold and black.

Apple itself did not publish an announcement.
It is commonly speculated that the tech group has dropped the product from its range to make way for a new innovation: iPhones without openings for charging ports.
Since this makes plug-in stations like the Lightning Dock meaningless, Apple may have removed them from the list* before.
Another reason could also be that the Cupertino-based company wants to push the MagSafe charging accessories with wireless charging technology more.
